A Path to Educational Equity: The Honors Writing Bridge Program
In 2022 the Honors College piloted a free, on-line summer bridge program to help address the educational gaps exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Following last year’s successful pilot, the Honors College is now building upon the program to better serve even more students.
The program decreases the gap between student potential and the preparation necessary for a successful college career. Combining training on academic preparedness and readiness for college, particularly the rigors of college-level writing, the DHC bridge program is based upon national best practice, which data shows helps to greatly increase student success and persistence to graduation.
Your generous donation helps students access this program free of charge. You will help maintain the DHC commitment to educational access and fulfill CWU’s vision.
Your gift today will help us reach our $2,500 goal and make a lasting and invaluable impact on the lives of a cohort of Douglas Honors College students!
