Food insecurity is one barrier that can keep a student from being successful. However, the CWU Presidents United to Solve Hunger program (PUSH) helps to overcome this barrier for over 2,300 food insecure students and was recently given a large space to establish CWU's first centralized food pantry.
The Wildcat Pantry in Brooks Library 101C is a free resource for the CWU students, faculty, and staff to access food and hygiene products. In addition, Career Services offers free professional clothing for students. Outside of the pantry, our work helps students finish their degrees, reach self-actualization, and get the most out of their CWU experience.
We are looking for 25 donors to pack the pantry AND unlock an additional $2,500 in funds!
Thanks to generous Wildcat, Janet Backus '72, your dollars can go even further. She is challenging 25 donors to make a gift of any size and she will match it with an additional $2,500 to Wildcat Pantry!
To make things even more exciting, we have a SECOND MATCH - every gift will be matched dollar for dollar until we reach our first $1,000!
Thanks to board member and CWU alumni Ralph Conner '88 for this amazing match to fight food insecurity at CWU!
Give today and help us secure an additional $3,500 in funding for the Wildcat Pantry and alleviate hunger on our campus!
