Each year, the CWU Opera Ensemble produces an incredible night of opera performances to share with our CWU Community and beyond.
These productions help CWU vocal students develop invaluable stage skills as well as hands-on technical theater skills like set building, costuming, props, and hair and makeup. Many of our students are music education majors who will be working with high school choirs and musicals and the CWU opera productions are their only exposure to theatrical production providing a critical piece to their education.
However, producing a full production is expensive because there are so many people and elements necessary. Your gift will support set design and construction, costume design and construction, lighting and sound design, a technical crew to run the shows, as well as the actual furniture and props.
