Mariachi del Centro grew from a dedicated group of CWU students who formed the Mariachi Club in 2019, and quickly gained the support of the Department of Music and music faculty. Students from across campus rehearse twice a week and perform regularly on and off campus. Prior to the pandemic closures, we were invited to perform at the prestigious Encuentro Internacional de Mariachi y Charrería in Guadalajara, Mexico.
We are dedicated to achieving our full musical potential, united by our passion for sharing the heritage of mariachi music with the campus and broader community, but we need your help.
